Ubaibas Girls Primary School, Tirupattur, Vellore District had been started in the year 1964. In course of time, the school had been upgraded to a Higher Secondary school. In the primary section nearly 300 girls are studying and in the High School, 700 girls are given quality education. All these girls students are Muslims, who hail from economically poor backgrounds. Most of the parents are either beedi rollers or casual laborers. The school is an aided minority institution and does not collect any fee from the students. The mid-day meals scheme is also implemented and the poor girls are being benefitted.
A portion of the school was functioning in a tiled structure that has since become dilapidated and could come down at any time. The recent rains have further deteriorated the condition. To ensure the safety of the children, the students have been accommodated in a small building measuring 2000 sq. ft, which is not sufficient for the students. The classrooms are very cramped and it is affecting the education of the girl students. The school is not able to admit more students for want of a safe and secure shelter.
The trustees and other philanthropists have come forward to put up a new construction by demolishing the tiled structure and around 2500 sq. ft is proposed to be constructed on the Ground floor. The approximate cost of construction is approximate Rs.35 lakhs.
We request you sir to kindly come forward and donate graciously for the development of Muslim Girls’ education by providing safe shelter.
